I just wanted to give you a heads-up that our Summer of Hope camps are right around the corner.
The sun is shining a little brighter, the days are getting warmer, and we’re gearing up for some serious fun and faith-building with the kiddos.
And this year, we’re especially excited to welcome our Ukrainian children, who have been through so much with the ongoing stress of war. It’s a time for healing, connection, and joy, and we’re getting everything in place to ensure it’s a summer they’ll never forget.
Each year, we see children who have been touched and blessed by the experience of our camps, and it reminds us of the impact that a little love and support can have on a young heart.
I remember the story of an 8-year-old boy who had experienced the trauma of war in Ukraine. When he came to our camp, it was like a breath of fresh air for him.
Surrounded by warmth, positivity and love, he was able to channel his emotions into creating beautiful paintings that served as a form of therapy for his soul. Moments like these remind us of the power of God’s love and the impact a safe and nurturing environment can have on a child’s life.
The connections made, the love shared, and the seeds of faith planted during our Summer of Hope camps can have a lasting effect on these children’s lives.
As we gear up for another summer of sharing the Love of God and bringing Hope to these children in need, we look forward to more unforgettable moments of healing and changing the lives of these children for the better. Our mission team and I are so excited because it’s going to be an amazing journey ahead!
