Reaching the Unreached — Through Those Who Already Belong
Russian Missions is a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to sharing the hope of Jesus Christ across Russia, Ukraine, and the nations of the former Soviet Union. Rather than sending American missionaries abroad in the traditional model, we partner with and financially support indigenous Christian leaders — men and women who already know the language, the culture, and the people they serve. This approach allows us to multiply impact at a fraction of the cost while ensuring the Gospel takes root in a culturally authentic way.
Our work spans broad areas of ministry:
Youth Ministry We invest in the next generation through outreach to young people across the former Soviet Union, equipping them with the Gospel and giving them a foundation of faith and hope.
Church Planting We support local Christian leaders in establishing new congregations in communities where no church exists. Meetings are held wherever people feel comfortable — apartments, community halls, wherever doors open — so that the message of Christ can spread without barriers.
Local Missionaries We seek out, evaluate, and fund native missionaries who are already doing effective Gospel work among their own people. With our support, these missionaries can do the same work as a traditional foreign missionary for a fraction of the cost — often between $200–$300 per month — with none of the visa or cultural barriers.
Prison Ministry We bring the message of hope, restoration, and God’s love into prisons and youth correctional facilities throughout the region, where so many live without hope for the future.
Hospice, Hospitals & Nursing Homes We minister to the dying, the sick, and the elderly — people in their most vulnerable hours — offering spiritual care, prayer, and the comfort of knowing they are not forgotten.
Soup Kitchens We serve the hungry and the homeless through practical, hands-on compassion ministry, meeting physical needs as a doorway to sharing the love of Christ.
Drug Addiction & Military Outreach We reach those trapped in addiction and those broken by the trauma of military service, bringing the message that healing and new life are possible through Christ.
Nomadic Tribes We journey into some of the most remote corners of Russia — including villages in Northern Siberia — to bring the Gospel to tribal and nomadic peoples who have never heard the name of Jesus.
