Healing the addicted with God’s love

We continue our ministry to those who are struggling with addiction. In Kurgan, Russia we have a place for those who have been held back by the chains of addiction. We see people having deep struggles and we hear how they so desperately want to change their lives for the better.

Alcoholism destroys lives and causes people to stumble. Addicts and their families often find themselves questioning God, wondering why addiction is controlling them and even taking the lives of loved ones. Every day, however, even during the darkest moments, God is here and He will guide us if we follow Him.

Focusing on God and our Savior, Jesus, we can gain strength and guidance, and experience true love and a feeling of connectedness to God. If we listen, we can hear the words of our Savior, Jesus, which will help even the worst addict find true hope. Christian rehab allows the addict to hear God’s words through Bible study, prayer, and connections with other believing mentors. Jesus’ words below will renew the mind and transform the attitudes of the heart.

At Russian Missions Kurgan Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation, we offer great hope by walking alongside the one who is willing to submit themselves to our program and follow Christ. We’re excited because we know that every day we’re showing just how much healing and freedom comes through opening ourselves up to His love and power.

There is hope for those struggling, whether they are just beginning their battle or have fought it for some time without success. We understand that practical help is needed to apply Biblical principles of living, which will open your mind and spirit toward an opportunity of freedom through Christ. Our goal is to assist you toward sobriety so you can discover the best version of yourself.

Vladislav

I wasn’t able to gain control over my drinking problem and it started to negatively affect every aspect of my life: firstly, my family and friends; then any self-respect I had for myself; and finally my job. It hurt me greatly to realize that if I kept on drinking, my family would no longer want anything to do with me.

“I’ve always had a problem with giving in to my impulses, but I never considered it to be an actual issue until I got the wake-up call that came when my family left me.
The thick fog caused by my alcoholism made everything in my world much more confusing – especially my ability to see further than that little piece of string I was holding onto. Things are so much clearer when every single thing is in its rightful place once again. Since being sober, nothing in the world could be better. I have a sense of direction and know where I’m going – not just in life but also in sobriety! Today, God has blessed me with the privilege to receive aid from the Russian Missions Kurgan Rehabilitation Center. Because of this program, I was able to find a sense of hope and keep my eyes on what is ahead for me. I know that I am loved by God. God changed my life.

As we continue our ministry to these broken souls I have been witnessing that for those struggling with alcohol addiction, guilt is a major roadblock that might prevent them from accepting the help they need. It’s rather common for individuals to feel like they don’t deserve anything better than what they’re already getting when guilt is constantly hounding them about their mistakes.

But Jesus promises us that it doesn’t matter – He loves us and wants to heal us through His free redemption so now we finally have peace of mind without worrying about some painful past or some uncertain future. God tells us in Jeremiah 31:34 that “I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.” Not only does God not leave us alone, even in the midst of addiction, but He promises to help us. “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28) Recovery is a tiring and difficult process, but Jesus says He will be right there, helping us along the way. He will make our path easier by giving us His strength.

Russian Missions supporters like you are helping us battle these tremendous needs and save precious lives through our ministries of compassion. Your generosity to the work of the Lord has been witnessed in heaven as well as here on earth.

Without you, it would not be possible to do all that is being done in the name of our precious Lord. Only heaven will reveal all that your faithfulness has accomplished.
