As we celebrate the hope and joy that Christ’s birth brings to our world, my thoughts turn to the suffering children of Ukraine. Our mission teams have delivered food, Scripture, and hope to families who have been forced to leave their homes because of the war. We’re committed to helping as many people as possible, and we hope that our efforts will make a difference in their lives.
I pray that these families find comfort and hope in Christ this holiday season. Many of those families were struggling to get by. Now, it’s winter, and many cities have no heat. They still can’t go home because they may not have a home anymore.
This Christmas, I pray for all the children trapped in war, misery, and deprivation. I pray they may experience the joy you and I will know this holiday season. May they see the love of family, friends, and community. May they be surrounded by hope and comfort. And may they find the strength to keep going, even in the darkest times.
We are preparing special Christmas Gifts of Hope Packages for the children who need it most. We believe every child deserves to hear the Good news of the Gospel.
Each care package will include a children’s Bible or other Christian literature, sweets, toys, school supplies, warm mittens or socks, and hygiene items. We hope that these gifts bring some smiles and comfort to the children who receive them.
They have been through so much, and we want them to know that they are not alone. We are thinking of them, and we hope that these gifts can help make their days a little brighter.
These thoughtfully packaged gift boxes are special inside and out, but the personal delivery by a team of passionate young Christians means the most to the children and families who receive them.
These courageous young believers are filled to the brim with God’s love, which shows as they offer prayer, hugs, and songs and share the true meaning of Christmas with children and families, many of whom have never heard that they have a Savior in Jesus Christ!
Every time you give a gift, you’re providing hope to children who have experienced some of the worst things imaginable. They’ve seen death and destruction, been forced to leave their homes, and they’re still separated from the people they love.
This holiday season, we’re trying to bring the true meaning of Christmas to every hurt child.
We want them to hear the hope of Christ and feel joy instead of pain. With your help, we can make this holiday season brighter for everyone.
Please help us reach hungry, hurting, and frightened children with a Gift of Hope. This gift will include an introduction to Jesus and Scripture that will nurture the seeds of faith in young hearts and families!
It’s always a joy to see the smiles on children’s faces when they receive gifts. And we know that their parents feel grateful to know that they are not alone. We’re so happy to be able to help them know that God loves them. Christmas joy comes from knowing that you are loved.
We are asking God to use this year’s outreach to bring comfort and hope into every life we encounter refugees, children in hospitals, orphans, and more. We are asking God to bless this massive distribution of Scripture, to open every heart to receive Him so people can know hope for today and eternity.
This Christmas will be more challenging for us than any other year because of the current circumstances. I never thought that I would be living through a time like this. It’s different from any other year, and my request for help is more urgent than ever.
If you feel called by God to help us, it would be so appreciated.
Thank you for your caring hearts.
Sharing the joy of Jesus at Christmas,
Pastor Vitali Yuchkovski
